## B2B event calendar statistics

1. **40,000+** events are tracked in the Luminik event catalog.
2. **20,466** of them are dated in 2026, and **12,221** have announced 2027 dates.
3. **March** is the busiest month of 2027 so far, with **1,998** events. March and April together hold **32%** of the announced year.
4. The busiest weeks of 2027 start **Monday, March 1** and **Monday, March 15**, with **482** event starts each.
5. **62%** of 2027 events with a confirmed start day begin on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (6,778 of 11,005).
6. **79%** of 2026 B2B events run for more than one day (16,166 of 20,466).

2027 calendar

Announced 2027 B2B events by start month

- January 2027: 1,191 events
- February 2027: 1,430 events
- March 2027: 1,998 events
- April 2027: 1,860 events
- May 2027: 1,453 events
- June 2027: 1,344 events
- July 2027: 541 events
- August 2027: 556 events
- September 2027: 1,044 events
- October 2027: 500 events
- November 2027: 230 events
- December 2027: 74 events

12,221 events with announced 2027 dates. Organizers announce the second half of the year later, so July to December will grow.

Spring is crowded. If your main events fall in March or April, your buyers have other events the same week, so book meetings earlier than you would in a quiet month. On an annual budget cycle, spring events are approved the previous autumn, so the request has to be ready by October or November.

## Where B2B events happen

1. **32%** of 2026 B2B events were in the United States (6,505), as are **33%** of announced 2027 events (4,018).
2. **London** has the most announced 2027 events of any city in the catalog (**302**).
3. **Ptak Warsaw Expo** hosts the most announced 2027 events of any venue (**116**), ahead of ExCeL London (93) and Tokyo Big Sight (90).
4. **Manufacturing** has the most announced 2027 events of any industry (**1,252**), ahead of PropTech and Construction (811) and Health Tech (763).

Two thirds of the calendar is outside the US. If you sell into Europe or APAC, you can meet those buyers at regional events close to them, and plan those trips around the busiest cities and venues above.

## What organizers publish

Share of 2026 B2B events that publish each detail on the organizer’s site:

1. Registration link 72%
2. Agenda 61%
3. Speaker list 40%
4. Sponsor or partner list 37%
5. Ticket price 24%
6. Call for speakers deadline 6%
1. **72%** publish a registration link and **61%** an agenda.
2. **40%** list their speakers and **37%** list sponsors or partners.
3. **24%** publish a ticket price (4,981 of 20,466).
4. **6%** publish a call for speakers deadline.

You will often decide with partial information. The speaker and sponsor lists are the best early read on who attends, because speakers and sponsors bring their own customers and peers. When neither is published, ask the organizer for last year’s attendee breakdown by title and company before you commit.

## Ticket prices and calls for speakers

1. The median lowest published ticket for a 2026 B2B event priced in US dollars was **$349.50**, across 3,058 events.
2. **20%** of those events started at **$1,000 or more**, and **19%** under $100.
3. MarTech events have the highest median entry ticket of any industry for 2027: **$1,067**, across 32 priced events.
4. Half of the calls for speakers for 2026 events closed within **100 days** of the event, across 1,133 events with a published deadline and a start date known to the day.
5. The 458 calls for 2027 events already listed close a median **179 days** before the event.

Passes are a small line next to travel, hotel and staff time, so the ticket price rarely decides whether to go. Speaking slots need a plan 3 to 6 months ahead; [calls for speakers closing in November and December 2026](/blog/2026/calls-for-speakers-closing-november-2026/) shows how that runs.

## Sponsors

1. **IBM** appears on more organizer-published sponsor and partner lists for 2026 and 2027 events than any other company: **70** events. Microsoft (62) and Google (61) follow, across **11,339** events that publish a sponsor or partner list.

The large technology companies sponsor widely, so their presence says little about an event’s fit for you. A list full of companies that sell to your buyer says more: it means those vendors expect your buyers in the room.

## How these were counted

- **Catalog:** from our October 18, 2026 snapshot of the Luminik event catalog. Counts are B2B conferences, trade shows and summits.
- **Prices:** the lowest price on the organizer’s site. Medians use US dollar prices only.
- **Calls for speakers:** deadlines published by the organizer, for events with a start date known to the day.
- **Sponsors:** organizer-published lists, counted once per event, with trade associations removed.

The full 2027 tables, charts and methodology are in [the 2027 B2B event calendar in numbers](/research/2027-event-calendar/). You can quote any number on this page with a link to it.

## Build your own benchmarks from the CRM

Whether an event works for your team is a number in your CRM. It becomes a benchmark when you measure it the same way after every event.

Event and RevOps teams we interviewed judge events on opportunities and pipeline, and treat scan counts as activity. The table gives each benchmark a definition you can apply after every event.

| Benchmark | How to calculate it | Where the data lives | When to read it |
| ------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------ |
| Target accounts attending | Target accounts matched on the attendee, sponsor or speaker list | Account list matched to the event campaign | Before you commit |
| Meetings booked | Meetings on the calendar before the event starts | Meeting activities linked to the event campaign | 1 week out |
| Meetings held | Booked meetings that happened, divided by meetings booked | Campaign member status or meeting outcome | Event end |
| ICP share of captured leads | Captured leads that match your ICP, divided by all captured leads | Lead or contact fields after enrichment | Day 1 |
| Time to first follow-up | Hours from the conversation to the first personal email | Activity timestamps | Day 2 |
| Opportunities created | New opportunities with the event as the source | Opportunity source field | Day 30 and day 90 |
| Sourced and influenced pipeline | Amount on opportunities the event created or touched | Opportunity fields for event-sourced and event-influenced pipeline | Day 90 and day 180 |
| Cost per opportunity | All-in event cost divided by opportunities created | Campaign cost plus opportunity count | Day 90 |

Read pipeline over months. Teams selling with long cycles describe opportunities opening long after anyone links them back to the event, which is why the attribution fields have to be written when the touch happens. [Event attribution models](/blog/2026/event-attribution-models-sourced-influenced-accelerated/) defines sourced, influenced and accelerated pipeline, and the [post-event report template](/blog/2026/post-event-report-template-b2b-events/) turns the table into a one-page report.

## How to read any event marketing statistic

Before you put an event statistic in a budget deck, check it.

Checklist

Check these before you quote a number

- Who counted it An event catalog, a survey of marketers, a vendor's customers. Each answers a different question.
- How many it covers A median across 3,058 events and a 100-person survey carry different weight.
- When it was counted Calendar counts change weekly as organizers announce dates.
- What the words mean Attendance, registrations and badge scans are 3 different counts.
- Whether it describes your buyer A number about all B2B events may not hold for your segment.
