Researchers from the University of Bern, in collaboration with ETH Zurich and ZHAW, developed a gentle method for discovering drug candidates by using enzymes to create DNA-encoded libraries under mild, water-based conditions without damaging DNA barcodes. The approach is described as potentially helping accelerate and make more resource-efficient the search for new drugs.
