Strengthening Pay Data Reporting Requirements

This Legal Update describes California’s updated pay data reporting requirements for employers required to submit annual reports to the Civil Rights Department.

Beginning with reports due in May 2027, employers must report employee data using SOC major occupational groups instead of EEO-1 job categories, and the change applies to both payroll and third-party labor contractor reports.

7 months until it opens.
